ABOUT -

Shell Core Specialties, was started in 1978 to service small and large foundries. As our reputation grew , we came to supply large foundries such as ESCO, Vancouver Iron and Steel, Portland Foundry, and Consolidated Metco in the Portland/Vancouver area.

We are currently the only job-shop provider of shell cores in the Portland area.  We have also, recently, begun to produce air-set no-bake cores and molds for several local foundries. In 1998 Shell Core Specialties purchased Die-Tech Casting to help round out its presence in the foundry field.

DTC produces die-cast parts made of #3 zamak (zinc alloy) using three high-pressure die-casting machines ranging from 150 to 400 ton pressure capacity.  Our latest addition is a Producer 200 ton machine with two stage injection and intensifier capability to produce nearly flash free parts with limited to no porosity.
